Forest Approach
The route starts near 3,000 feet. The initial fork leads right across a stream, with the Mount Pilchuck State Park boundary sign about a quarter-mile along the trail.
Boulders & Open Upper Slopes
WTA places the first major boulder-field passage around one mile. Forest gives way to a clearing roughly half a mile farther on, followed by exposed rocky slopes below the summit cone.
Summit Lookout
The upper trail winds around summit rocks to the restored lookout at the 5,327-foot published high point. A Parking Area sign below the summit marks the return direction. Snow can obscure this rock-and-trail route; the guide is not a current track.
Terrain Along the Route
The upper trail includes rocky terrain and a final scramble around summit boulders; snow can obscure the trail.
