Schrieber Meadow & Rocky Creek
From the trailhead near 3,250 feet, a bridge crosses Sulphur Creek into Schrieber Meadow. The first Scott Paul junction comes early, followed by wet meadow and boardwalk sections. Rocky Creek crosses a shifting boulder-filled channel farther up. Beyond it, steeper forest switchbacks climb toward the second Scott Paul junction and Morovitz Meadow.
Meadows & Lookout
The Railroad Grade junction separates the Park Butte trail from the Easton Glacier approach. Continuing toward Bell Pass junction leads through meadow and rocky terrain to the historic lookout, built in 1932 and maintained by Skagit Alpine Club volunteers. The standard route returns the same way. Human waste must be carried out, and camping is prohibited at the tarns and ponds along Park Butte Trail.
